Home for Rent in nearby Gladwyne

Our art filled home is surrounded by old shade, in the middle of a full acre on the edge of a woods. It’s a brick split level, built in 1955 with the character of a much older house. There’s a spacious living room, dining room, and beautiful light filled up-to-date kitchen on the 1st level. The 2nd level makes it perfect for an academic couple: a master suite and 2 offices. One of the offices has a futon sofa, so it could serve as a bedroom. The top level consists of one very large dormer room (lots of floor, not so much ceiling) containing a king bed or 2 twins, a large TV with seating, and room for a blow up mattress (which we have) if you want to accommodate guests. We use this room as a TV room or guest room, but it could readily be shared by a couple of kids. Or the house might be suitable for 2 couples.

The kitchen is designed for cooking, with plenty of storage and counter space, and you’ll find it well equipped. Laundry area in basement boasts front loading machines on platforms (and shares space with my potting studio.) Outside the kitchen is a flagstone patio with plenty of furniture for eating or just hanging out; there’s also a propane grill. There is ample off street parking with an area behind the house where at least 3 cars could park. Also, you can walk across the back lawn and down into the woods where you’ll find creekside paths for walking or jogging. Additional amenities include central air conditioning and all utilities including cable TV and wireless internet. We’d love to talk with you about how we might accommodate your needs re: dates, etc. I think we can be pretty flexible.
